The Residence

The villa is set on 800 square metres of land on a quiet, tree-lined street two hundred metres from the beach. It has become a landmark in Sanur because of its bold yet harmonious design and unique entrance portico.

The residence is laid out over four separate buildings providing accommodation for twelve guests in six bedrooms. All the bedrooms and communal areas are set back, away from the street, leaving the areas of relaxation in the villa peaceful throughout the day. The designers worked hard to incorporate many separate areas that feel secluded from each other while being integral to the villa’s design.

Completed in the summer of 2005, the Balinese architect's careful use of local materials help create a modern residence that is in harmony with its surroundings. Through careful use of space, colour and light the interior spaces change with the time of day until they settle into the glow from the hidden lights that warm the villa with their subtleness.

Furnishings & Artwork

The art throughout the villa was painted by Walter Van Oel . Of Dutch origin, Walter has made a name as one of the foremost modern artists working in Indonesia . His art has been chosen in colour and subject matter to give ambience throughout the villa in keeping with it's adherence to the eastern design traditions of feng sui.

The Bedrooms

The six air-conditioned bedrooms mix modern simplicity with wood and antique furniture and fittings in a chic yet understated way. The ground floor rooms have an open-air bathroom with terrazzo bathtubs and planted gardens. The first floor rooms benefit from a massaging power-shower and open onto private terraces and balconies that offer a panoramic view of their tropical surroundings. All the bedrooms have goose-down and Egyptian cotton bed-linen and toweling robes and are appointed with handmade spa creams and shower condiments.

The Location

Villa Casis is located in beautiful Sanur, the original Balinese beach resort and still one of the finest beach resort areas of Bali. Whatever your interests Villa Casis is perfectly located, from here you can easily travel to anywhere in Bali or just stay home in complete peace and quiet.

The beach hosts an array of water activities from scuba diving, parasailing, jet skiing, surfing, kite-surfing and water skiing for all ranges of experience. Lined with the village's traditional fleet of out-rigger fishing boats colourfully painted to in the local style the beach area is unique to this village and is enjoyed by both tourists and the Balinese alike.

The residence offers two reception rooms, an air-conditioned dining room with open-plan kitchen that seats twelve, a seven by ten meter pool, a pergola with ‘love-beds' that nestles in front of a ten meter water wall, a separate sun deck, BOSE surround-sound home entertainment system, plasma television, seventy channel cable-tv service, over one thousand movies on DVD, board games, high speed internet access with a ‘hot-spot” for laptop surfing throughout the villa and a library of novels and reference books.
